A highly informative and strategically aligned seminar titled “Gwadar – The Future” was successfully convened on 31st March 2026 at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI). The session was organized under the leadership of Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel, Convener, Standing Committee on Gwadar, reflecting a focused commitment toward advancing Gwadar’s national economic significance.
The seminar was conducted under the esteemed patronage of President Mr. Faheem ur Rehman and Senior Vice President Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, whose institutional leadership continues to reinforce LCCI’s proactive engagement in national development agendas.
Distinguished guest speakers delivered comprehensive briefings on the ground realities of Gwadar Port, outlining its strategic importance as a regional maritime and economic gateway. The session highlighted Gwadar’s growing relevance in trade facilitation, logistics integration, coastal tourism, and investment diversification. Multiple policy-level recommendations and future-focused opportunities were deliberated, emphasizing Gwadar’s role as a catalyst for sustainable economic expansion.
During the proceedings, Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel proactively raised critical connectivity challenges being faced by Punjab-based industrialists and investors, advocating for enhanced transport and aviation linkages to ensure seamless access to Gwadar and strengthen investor confidence.
